Stephanie Larkin, President
Stephanie has been busy in the worlds of technology and education for about as long as we have had tech toys to play with. She founded Red Penguin Web Solutions over 10 years ago – a web design/marketing company dedicated to getting our clients to STAND OUT, and loves working with 150+ businesses, institutions and organizations in getting them discovered and communicating on the internet. Red Penguin has grown along with the internet – beginning first with static html websites for clients and expanding to content management systems, search engine optimization, web marketing, technology assistance and training, and mobile applications. Each day brings new challenges – and opportunities – as the world online grows and client need expand.
Stephanie has been involved in education for many years, and she reaches her students everywhere from the classroom to the conference room to the computer screen. She works with the next generation of young entrepreneurs in her position as a professor in the Marketing Department at Nassau Community College, where she teaches Small Business Marketing, Market Research, Advertising and Principles of Sales, among other courses. She hold workshops and classes on technology training, with topics ranging from social media marketing to internet security, both at the Red Penguin office as well as on-site at businesses and organizations throughout New York. Stephanie has hosted webinars on social media marketing, as well as a video series on content management systems and web editing. Additionally, she is sought after as a speaker for groups, conferences and meetings, inspiring others on a range of topics, from staying safe on the internet to marketing techniques and strategies.
Wishing to spread the fun – and frustrations – of technology today, Stephanie has been the host/producer for a television show called “Technically Speaking” – an educational yet entertaining look at the technology we deal with everyday, for the past 5 years. “Technically Speaking” airs throughout Queens, Nassau and Suffolk – as well as the world through YouTube. Over the years, Stephanie has been the recipient of many awards for her work on “Technically Speaking”, most notably the coveted First Place Award for Education Television at the Northeast Alliance for Community Media Festival.
In her “spare” time, Stephanie takes great pleasure in singing, playing the organ and piano and conducting choirs as the music director of St. Anastasia Church in Douglaston. Music has been a major thread through her life, and she is delighted to continue performing and leading others in this great passion. Of course, Stephanie’s greatest passion is for her family, and spends her best moments traveling around the country, standing on the sidelines of a soccer game or cheering from the audience with her husband Kieran and 3 children, who are her pride and joy.
