LinkedIn – Maximizing your Impact and Networking at the Business Meeting Place of the World

Have you ventured into LinkedIn – started your profile page – and then abandoned it because you weren’t sure where to go from there? Or perhaps you even check in periodically, but aren’t really sure why (or how!) others say they are getting business from LinkedIn. In our two sessions we will cover:

Session #1

  • Personal Profiles and Business Pages – why you need both to get the most exposure
  • Setting up your profile and page – including resizing/editing photos (and how/why to change them regularly!), choosing/customizing your name, security measures and more
  • Making connections – through your contacts, joining groups, and second level contacts
  • Getting your profile up to “All-Star” level to improve your search ability
  • Skills, endorsements and recommendations – building all of these areas

Session #2

  • Posting, sharing and commenting on posts – why (and how) to do it most effectively
  • Cross posting between LinkedIn and other social media as well as your website
  • Utilizing Boolean search to find companies and contacts
  • Making connections – both direct and indirect
  • Paid LinkedIn services – are they for you?
  • Building a personal, supportive network to maximize your LinkedIn effectiveness

During this hands-on course, you will work on computers in order to work on your own LinkedIn account. This allows you to make changes as we go. The course is broken into multiple weeks so that you will have the opportunity to work on your profile and connections during the week, and bring any questions or concerns that occur to our next meeting, as we progress towards a fully functioning – and thriving – LinkedIn presence for your business.
